Not only have I faced and overcome many of these similar personal challenges, but I also have professional training in depth counseling, mindfulness techniques, self-hypnosis, and have over 8 years of experience coaching many individuals facing a variety of issues.
Coaching services are individually tailored to address personal, professional, relational, health, or wellness goals. My aim is to foster a creative partnership that aims to improve quality of life and assist in finding solutions and strategies, as well as enhancing the qualities and skills already present. Coaching can help unlock the inherent wisdom within you, empower you to leave self-sabatoging patterns behind and move towards your dreams to live a life true to your own authentic values.
1.What is the difference between life coaching and counseling?
Coaching is more present and future-oriented, whereas counseling attempts to treat mental health problems, family of origin issues, intergenerational trauma, and often involves exploring how past traumas or events impact current responses. Coaching, on the other hand, is not therapy or mental health treatment, but can help assist in helping the client with life transitions, exploring healthier lifestyle choices, cultivating awareness of mind/body connection, and overcoming personal challenges. Coaching is more appropriate for individuals, who already have a strong foundation, but may need additional support or assistance in gaining clarity about life path, personal, or professional goals, as well as overcoming self-defeating behaviors and patterns.
2.How much does a coaching session cost?
$100 per hour session, but I also offer sliding scale.
What does a coaching session look like?
Coaching sessions are 1 hour long and depending up client's needs can be held on a weekly or biweekly basis. Coaching sessions allow clients to identify or adjust goals, creatively problem solve, and identify and replace self-defeating behaviors. Mindfulness, dream interpretation, creative writing activities, and active imagination are other tools that can be used during coaching sessions. Coaching helps clients tap into their creative potential, brainstorm, and prioritize goals.
