Guidance and Exposure Therapy

Life has a way of testing our strengths and weaknesses, but it also can leave us in a place of confusion, hurt, anger, and worry. Facing fears, understanding why we think and feel the way we do, and making life changes can be difficult, but with compassionate guidance it is possible. With uncertainties, loss, and life’s challenges, it can feel like we are lost or even alone. It might seem hard to even fathom talking to someone openly and honestly in a non-jugmental space. In therapy, I can help you explore triggers, work through anxiety about the future, better manage stress, and help you overcome challenging situations or difficult choices. If you are willing to take that next step, I will be happy to support you on your healing journey.

I went on my personal journey of healing after years of trauma in my life. That is why I love what I do and love to help others, because I have personal experiences with overcoming life’s challenges. I have worked with several therapists myself and realized the importance of truly feeling safe, comfortable, fully understood, and heard. With some therapists, they may approach therapy as just another job, but that is not my approach. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the person you choose to share your personal experiences and stories with, because this is YOUR journey and you are the driver at the wheel. Below you can learn more about the work I have done, my orientation, and hopefully see if I am the right fit for you.

About Felicia Molera (she/her), Licensed Master’s Social Worker

Hello, I am Felicia, and I hold an LMSW. I am compassionate and understanding of the intersectionality one may experience in this world. I have a drive to help individuals of all ages on their healing journey to become the best version of themselves. I have worked in the community with children, teens, and families for over 20 plus years. Over the last 10 years, I have worked with various non-profits helping others with parenting support and education, abuse (emotional, physical, psychological, sexual, financial, systematic, and substance), advocacy, parole/probation, crisis support, open DCS cases, homelessness, and medical issues. I have helped individuals when they were at their most vulnerable points in their lives to begin to rebuild and tap into their inner strength and resiliency.

My goal when working with clients is to help guide them through what they have experienced and transform from the victim of their story into the warrior, learning to thrive and make empowered choices. What you will experience in working with me is someone who not only has the capacity to provide essential psychoeducation and actively listen, but someone who can also support you through facing fears of the unknown and in cultivating inner peace. What does that mean? It means that I will provide you with more tools for your tool box to help you work through fears in order to live a healthier, happier, and more sustainable life.

What I consider to be a successful outcome, if you are interested in meeting me, is not whether you stay in therapy for the rest of your life. It is an individual being able to walk away and tell themselves “Wow, look how far I have come, I am proud of myself, I can do this!” I am here to support and would love to hear your story and guide you through to your next beautiful chapter in life. You are a warrior and you deserve happiness!
