Cultivating Self-Compassion & Resiliency
Welcome! I am a compassionate and dedicated counselor committed to
supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and
self-discovery. My therapeutic approach is primarily non-directive and
person-centered, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings in
a safe and supportive environment. I believe that each person has the
innate capacity for growth and change, and my role is to facilitate
that process.
Angela Heersink (she/her), Licensed Professional Counselor (Colorado Only)
I specialize in working with clients who struggle with feelings of shame and low self-concept, particularly those who have faced significant life challenges or made choices they wish to understand and learn from. My goal is to help you navigate these experiences, fostering a sense of self-acceptance and resilience as you move forward.
In our sessions, I integrate elements of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and parts work. These techniques can help you develop greater awareness of your thoughts and emotions, challenge unhelpful patterns, and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Having faced my own challenges, I understand the complexities of the human experience and the desire for personal growth. I am here to walk alongside you as you explore your past, embrace your present, and envision a future filled with possibility.
If you are ready to embark on this journey of healing and transformation, I would be honored to support you.
